  • The Animal Nature Future Film Festival is the cornerstone event of INB CIC. Our mission is to develop a sustainable, adaptable, and unique portfolio of artistic projects dedicated to protecting animals and the environment in a contextually relevant manner through visual artistic connections.

    We aim to foster a symbiotic relationship between humanity and the natural world. Through a series of artistic experiences, our mission is to ignite impactful dialogues internationally through the medium of film, promote eco-friendly practices, and be a pioneer for positive environmental change.

    • Animal Future Award

      This award aims to honor films that intricately weave themes of ecology and animal conservation, showcasing suitability for the global market and significant distribution potential.

    • Jury Award

      This recognition aims to applaud the production professionalism and unique perspectives showcased in films revolving around ecology and animal conservation.

    • Best Short Film Award

      This award is for a short film (less than 40 minutes) that is both thematic and aesthetic.

    • Best Young Filmmaker

      This award is for young filmmakers under 30 years old (born after 1st Jan 1994)

    • Audience Choice Award

      This award is determined by on-site audience voting at ANFFF, with the film receiving the highest number of votes being selected.

    • Most Influential Award

      This award aims to recognize works with strong infectious power and thematic concepts.

    The globally awarded films, aside from the honor conferred by the awards, will receive exposure support across all ANFFF media platforms. This includes media coverage with a global reach of approximately 170 million views and attention, along with opportunities for media interviews. Additionally, we will offer optional global distribution support to all selected films (additional agreement required). Our film festival platform provides overseas distribution and screening plans.

  • 1. There are no restrictions on the type of filming equipment used for the submitted films.

    2. ANFFF welcomes all types of films, including feature films, animations, documentaries, experimental films, and essay films. However, we do not accept commercial or branded promotional videos or VLOG-style videos. If you have work in this category, please contact the festival team for cooperation: info@anfff.org.

    3. Films longer than 60 minutes should be submitted to the "Feature Film" category, while films shorter than 60 minutes should be submitted to the "Short Film" category.

    4. All films must have English subtitles (or be bilingual), in consideration of accessibility. Please contact the ANFFF support team via email if assistance is needed.

    5. Films must be produced after January 1st, 2021.

    6. Films must be original works of the submitter. ANFFF will report and penalize any violations discovered during the review process.

    7. The copyright holder of the selected film must sign the "Agreement on the Rights and Obligations of the Organizer and the Applicant" with the ANFFF before the deadline to proceed with the screening approval process. ANFFF has attached the text version of this document under the “Rules and Terms” of this submission through FilmFreeway. By submitting your film through FilmFreeway, you are agreeing to sign the following agreement.

    - After obtaining permission from producers and distribution agents, high-quality films will automatically be recommended to ANFFF Global Partners. The ANFFF2024 partners and events include "London Design Festival," "Shanghai Design Week," "Cyber Young," and other international touring exhibitions.

    8. The preview link cannot be changed, and the password must remain valid until September, 15th, 2024. If it is necessary to change the link or password before the deadline, please inform the festival by email with the new screening link.

    9. Please indicate whether the film submitted is the final version.

    10. We will be contacting the selected films to go through a legal process of film classification verification by the Tower Hamlet council for offline screening in the UK. The ANFFF curation team will be able to assist with the application process; however, we will not be able to cover the fee charged for this process as it is required by law in the UK.

    11. Kindly indicate whether artificial intelligence (AI) was employed during the creative process.

    12. In alignment with ANFFF's principles, submitted works must ensure no harm is inflicted upon any animals during creation. Violation of this mandate will result in disqualification.

  • - Submission opens on March 31st.

    - Before April 20th: Early bird submission for feature films at £20 and short films at £10.

    - Before May 31st: Submission for feature films at £30 and short films at £15.

    - Before June 20th: Submission for feature films at £45 and short films at £30.

    Directors facing severe economic difficulties and unable to afford submission fees need to send a statement letter to the film festival's curatorial team (info@anfff.org) explaining their situation. Submission fees may be waived at their discretion.

    Films from qualifying middle-to-low-income countries may apply for a reduction in the registration fee through the ANFFF team. Please refer to the UNDP's list of eligible countries for verification: UNDP Middle-to-Low Income Countries List

  • 【Agreement on the Rights and Obligations of the Organizer and the Applicant】

    I have read the entry procedures and rules of the Animal Nature Future Film Festival (ANFFF). and I agree to abide by these rules. I acknowledge and agree that all information provided is accurate. The film submitted by me is an original work, and I have been authorized to submit the film and promotional materials to ANFFF. Any copyrighted material contained in the work has been legally approved for use, and ANFFF is not responsible for any copyright infringement caused by public screenings. Furthermore, I agree to bear the costs associated with obtaining any necessary screening permits for the film (such as the British offline screening classification review), as well as any losses incurred due to personal reasons resulting in delayed approval.

    I agree that if my film is selected, ANFFF has the right to screen it at the ANFFF film festival and corresponding promotional events from September 1, 2024, to August 1, 2025.

    I agree that ANFFF has the right to use the film for promotional materials (such as festival trailers) and to publish selected promotional materials, such as film stills, in any or all publications to promote ANFFF. I hereby guarantee that ANFFF will not be harmed and release myself or others from any claims regarding the use of promotional materials and public screenings of the film.

    • Please submit films in MOV/MP4 format.

    • For selected films for screening, the following formats are required:

      • H.264 MP4

      • .MOV

      • DCP

    • English subtitles should be provided as separate subtitle files.
